Christmas Orange Cookies

Jump to recipe

Yum

If you associate Christmas with the flavor of orange, chocolate and cinnamon, you’ll love these cookies.

Here’s a delicious vegan gluten-free orange-flavored chocolate chip cookie recipe. The base for these cookies is my 3-ingredient peanut butter cookie recipe. I added some orange juice and candied orange peel, but you can use orange zest instead.

The chocolate chips are optional, but the cookies definitely taste better with them. You can chop some chocolate instead.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • The juice from half a medium orange
  • Orange zest or candied orange peel
  • Cinnamon
  • ½ cup of oat flour
  • Chocolate chips – optional

Directions

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Combine the peanut butter with the maple syrup, the orange juice, the orange zest and the cinnamon.

Then, add the oat flour and mix everything well. Add the chocolate chips.

Make small balls out of the mixture, put them on a baking tray covered with baking paper and flatten them a bit. These cookies don’t spread that much, but still leave some space between them.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Let them cool down and enjoy.

Happy Holidays!
