2-Ingredient Banana Cookies

Jump to recipe

This “recipe” (in quotation marks because this is just too easy to be called a recipe) is great for the days when you are craving some delicious cookies, but you don’t feel like spending too much effort and time on them. The best part is that these easy to make treats are very healthy and contain no added sugar or animal products, which makes them perfect for vegan diets as well. A wonderful recipe to make with your kids too!

The only ingredients you need are

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup of oats

Optional

Raisins, cinnamon, cacao or cacao powder, or anything else you want to add.

Preparation

Mash the ripe banana and add the oats and the other ingredients if you decide to put something else; then mix everything.

Get your tray and put parchment paper on it. You don’t want your cookies to stick to the paper, so put a little vegetable oil on it: canola, coconut, sunflower, anything would work.

Then make identical balls out of the banana and oats mixture, put them on the tray and flatten them a bit to shape it like real cookies.

Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes on 180°C (350°F). Keep an eye on them, so they won’t burn.

The result is delicious moist and chewy cookies. Let them cool down and then enjoy!

Bonus tip 1

If you want your mixture to look like real cookie mixture, use oat flour or put your oats in the food processor and then add the banana and mix everything together.

Bonus tip 2

Use the same mixture to make pancakes. They will be delicious too!
