Delicious Vegan Date Fudge


Here’s an easy-to-make recipe for a delicious fudge that’s completely raw and vegan. The best part about this recipe is that it is really fast to make and it doesn’t necessarily require a food processor or blender.



  • 15 dates
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, tahini or any nut butter you like
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa or cacao powder
  • Nuts of your choice – optional
  • A pinch of salt – optional
  • Shredded coconut – optional



If your dates are too hard, soak them in water for a few minutes to make them easy to work with. Then put them on a flat plate and start mashing them with a fork. You can choose to use a food processor instead.

Once your dates are mashed, add the peanut butter or the tahini and mix them well. Then start adding the cocoa powder and the other ingredients and keep mixing. For this recipe I used some shredded coconut and whole cashew nuts as well. Once you are done mixing everything, the texture is quite soft and sticky, so I recommend you to make balls and to roll them in some cocoa or cacao powder. I tried spreading the mixture on parchment paper and forming a more rectangular shape.


Bonus tip

This fudge makes an awesome ice cream topping.
