Baked Chocolate Banana Oatmeal Bites

Jump to recipe

Yum

When thinking about classic breakfast, oatmeal is one of the first things that comes to our minds. We’ve already talked about the benefits of eating oats for breakfast or any other time. However, here’s an idea on how to improve and diversify good old oatmeal: let’s bake it!
This is an easy to make gluten-free recipe that can be easily turned into dairy-free and vegan – it depends on the milk you decide to use.

Cocoa powder is optional

The main ingredients for our recipes are oats, milk, banana and baking powder. If you want, you can add cinnamon, cocoa or cacao powder, or any other flavor you like. I added some candied orange peel and it was delicious. You can also put some nuts and seeds of your choice.
Preparation is really easy too. By the way, I decided to put the mixture in muffin bowls, but you can just bake it in a baking tray all at once like a cake.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Mash your banana and add cocoa powder.

Mix everything together, then add the milk and mix again.

Add the oats. Add baking powder, cinnamon and other condiments, and mix again.

Transfer the mixture to a baking tray or muffin bowls . It may get sticky, so if your tray isn’t non-stick, grease it a bit before you put the mixture in it.

Cook for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool before you eat it.
